Students work in collaborative teams using the inquiry and problem solving skills to process evidence to solve crimes. Some of the topics covered are: careers in law and public safety, introduction to forensic science and the law, types of evidence, the crime scene, fingerprints, hair, fibers, drugs, toxicology, soil and glass, blood, DNA, forensic entomology, human remains, firearms and toolmarks, documents and handwriting and arson.
