Student Representative on School Board

Purpose:
The school board values the voices of students and wishes to both encourage student involvement and promote a communication link between the school board and the students of the district.  The school board will accomplish this by authorizing student representatives to serve on the school board as non-voting members.Ultimately the purpose is to help students understand the importance of being involved in their community and creating a sense of civic responsibility to share their voice.

Qualifications:
The student must be entering their junior/senior year at the time of selection and in good academic standing, and maintain their good academic standing throughout their one-year term.

Responsibilities:
Student representatives will obey all the rules and regulations pertaining to board members.  The students will gather input about issues facing the school board and to communicate to students about the activities of the school board.
